Are Free Systems Really "Free"?

Many companies would like you to believe that you can have a security system for Free or $99. A "one size fits all" security system is not for everyone. Each installation is unique, and you may want features that don't come with the off-the-shelf system offered for "Free" or for "$99". At Alarms For Less, Inc. we custom design systems to meet the needs of a particular installation, rather than tell you what you will get. Check out Our Security Systems. Most "Free" or "$99 deals" require you to sign a monitoring agreement for at least 2 years (many for 3 years), at rates of $25 to $38 per month. Example> $99 + 36 months/monitoring @ $38 per month = $1467. IS THIS A "FREE" SYSTEM ? The monitoring is usually performed by a nationwide monitoring company with locations in major regional areas only. (Do you really want someone in Portland or Dallas dispatching the local Arizona Police or Fire Department to respond to your alarm?). At the end of your contract, you must give notice of cancellation, or your contract "self-renews" for another year or two. At Alarms For Less, Inc. we offer local central station monitoring as low as $20 per month (plus tax) with NO Contract to sign. No contract monitoring means that you can have a system installed without being monitored (try that with the $99 companies!). If you decide to be monitored, your monitoring obligation is month to month. If you move, or sell your home, you are not obligated to continue monitoring your current system or have a new system installed so you can continue your monitoring agreement.
